Akagera National Park – Key Things to Note
- These fees above apply to foreign travellers only and not local tourists.
- Half-Day activities in the park begin in the morning between 7 am and 9 am and must end at 12 pm.
- If you go beyond 12 pm, the park will consider it a full day.
- If you enter the park after 12 pm and wish to do an afternoon activity, it will be charged as a half day.
- All fees must be paid at the park offices once before your stay in your park adventure.
- Park entrance fees are valid only for one day.
- Discounts are available with some terms and conditions.
- All children 6 years and below don’t require to pay any fees.
- Game drives facilitated by Akagera National Park are inclusive of a vehicle, driver and a local tour guide (English or French Speaking or both).
- If you require to be picked up and dropped off at your accommodation, extra fees apply.
- Boat cruise scheduled times are 7:30 – 8:30 am, 9:00 – 10:00 am, 3:00 – 4:00 pm and the sunset trip at 4:30 – 6:00 pm.
- Camping fees, entitle you to the tent but not bedding, so you should put that into consideration.
- Vehicle entrance fees are not the same as park entrances fees.
