Be sure to check how guides work for you. Here are some guidelines for you-
- Guides picked up before 9 am and returned within 5 hours to the same reception- ½ day activity.
- Picked up after 9 am, returned before 12 midday – ½ day activity.
- After midday, guides will be charged ½ a day.
- Picked traveling with guests through the park- a full day.
- An additional fee of 20,000 RWF is applied when the guide is requested to accompany a visitor to Karenge Bush Camp overnight.

The Night drives begin at 5.30 pm and end around 8 – 8.30 pm.
Night drives are operated by the park and provide a car, driver, and spotlights.
You are picked up and dropped at your lodge, and only in the south of the park.
Boat trips are scheduled at the following times:
- 7:30 am – 8:30 am
- 9:00 am – 10:00 am
- 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
- 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm (sunset trip)
Rhino tracking is done in the north of Akagera National Park and is available to guests staying at the Karenge Bush Camp only.

Akagera National Park in Rwanda is a conserved area in eastern Rwanda.
