Montgomery Zoo is a 40-acre (16 ha) zoo located on the north side of Montgomery, Alabama.
Opened in 1920 in Oak Park, it is home to approximately 750 animals representing 140 species.
Mann Wildlife Learning Museum is located within it and its taxidermy displays with a focus on native wildlife, game species, and wildlife management.

Montgomery Zoo Ticket Prices for 2023
Montgomery Zoo prices range substantially based on your preferences.
Admission includes entry to both the Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum.

Montgomery Zoo members | FREE |
- AAA and Military discounts: Individuals must provide ID on-site to receive discounts.
- Active duty retired, and veteran status must have a government-issued ID.
- All Montgomery Zoo adult members must present a photo ID to gain access using the membership.
Regular daytime admission includes:
- Admission to the Zoo

Individual Plus One Membership
- Zoo/Museum only – $80
- Zoo/Museum with annual train ride pass – $120
Unlimited daytime admission for one specific adult member and one guest or choose two specific adult members and NO guest.
Family Membership
- Zoo/Museum only – $100
- Zoo/Museum with annual train ride pass – $140
Unlimited daytime admission for two specific adult members of the same household and dependent children 18 years old and younger, up to six (6) children).
Grandparent Membership
- Zoo/Museum only – $100
- Zoo/Museum with annual train ride pass – $140
- Additional children, exceeding eight (8): $5 each.
Unlimited daytime admission for two specific adult members of the same household and grandchildren 18 years old and younger, up to eight (8) children).
Guest Passes
- Guest passes: $45 per pass
Additional children and guest pass(es) may only be added to your membership after you have become a member.

Montgomery Zoo Stroller and Wheelchair Rentals
Rentals are based on a first-come, first-served basis and may not be reserved.
Wheelchair Rentals
- Manual Wheelchair rentals: $10
- Electric Wheelchairs (ECV): $25. (Weight limit: 325lbs)
Stroller Rentals
- Single stroller rentals: $10
- Double strollers: $12
Rental Deposits
A $5 deposit is required for each rental. It will be returned once the stroller or wheelchair is returned to the Gift Shop.

- Giraffe Encounter Post:
- $3 per person, guests 2 years and younger are FREE.

- Waters of the World:

- 10:30 am daily at the double-decker African elephant viewing station.
- Zoofari Skylift Adventure Ride:
- $5 per person.
- All riders must be at least 32 inches tall to ride with an adult.
- Riders must be at least 42 inches to ride alone.

- December Christmas Lights Festival hours: 12 pm (noon) to close.
